I started working for the federation in February 2021 with a part time contract, helping at Covid vaccination centres. Since then, I have been given the opportunity to work full time, as well as progress a potential career in finance with an apprenticeship programme.
Within my role as a finance apprentice, my main duty is to liaise with my line manager about data, payments and financial queries. In addition, I also work closely with our wider workforce to ensure practices get the funding they need and deserve.
While working for Bolton GP Federation I have been gifted with fantastic opportunities to improve my knowledge, skills, and confidence including the course I am currently completing. This is an apprenticeship course in ‘Bookkeeping Level 2’ which was so kindly offered to me by the fed as soon as I was employed full time. While completing this course and working on the job, I have been able to improve my knowledge substantially and complete tasks I may before have needed assistance with.
I am excited about what the future holds and look forward to seeing the Federation develop and grow.
