- Make the best use of our resources
- Invest in our current staff and opening doors for future generations
Our services
The services we deliver are diverse – as is our multidisciplinary workforce. With our head office based in Bolton town centre, we employ over 400 staff in a variety of clinical and non-clinical roles, based in a variety of locations across Bolton and beyond.
- Primary Care Network management - geographical groups of GP practices, community, mental health, social care, pharmacy, hospital and voluntary services working together to focus on local patient care (link to page).
- An Enhanced Access service - the provision and delivery of evening and weekend general practice appointments.
- An experienced nurse network - providing high-quality nursing capacity and cover to Bolton GP practices.
- The Covid vaccination programme
- Community and high street-based health clinics and cancer screening.
Greater Manchester Training Hub Employer
Additional to our work in Bolton, we are also the lead employer for the Greater Manchester Training Hub.
As part of our collaboration with the other GM GP Federations, we lead on running the training hub, the GM Workforce Bank (a GM-wide online system that connects primary care professionals to vacant shifts in primary care organisations) and a Lipids Management programme (helping people with high cholesterol reduce their risk of stroke and heart attacks).
