BOLTON GP Federation is pleased to announce that the Bolton Health Hive clinic will relocate from Market Place to its new home at the Diabetes Centre on Chorley Street on Monday, 23 June 2025.
The move comes in response to the clinic’s growing popularity and increaseddemand for services.
The new location includes two large consultation rooms, enabling the Health Hive to expand its capacity and continue to deliver high-quality, community-based healthcare services on behalf of general practice and in a way that meets the needs of Bolton people.
“We’re absolutely delighted to be moving into a larger, more modern space,” said Dr Kamran Khan, Chair of Bolton GP Federation. “This relocation reflects the incredible growth and success of the Health Hive and our commitment to working closer with our system partners to meet the needs of our communities. The new location allows us to enhance both staff and patient experience, whilst staying close to the town centre.”
The last day of service at the current Market Place location will be on Wednesday, 18 June. The clinic will be closed for the move on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 June, reopening at the new site on Monday, 23 June.
Services on offer at the new Health Hive location, alongside the Diabetes Service, will include, NHS health checks, smear tests, smoking cessation, AAA screening, and general advice, guidance and signposting.
The relocation brings additional benefits, including closer integration with Bolton NHS Foundation Trust who own and manage the building.
“We’ll be co-locating with partners who share our values to improve access and reduce inequalities,” Dr Khan added. “This is about building stronger connections across primary and secondary care services and making every contact count for Bolton people.”
Despite the move, Bolton GP Federation will continue to deliver it’s pop-up, community-based clinics and events which are advertised via social media channels and on www.boltongpfed.co.uk/communityhealth
To support patients and partners with the transition, Bolton GP Federation will be sharing maps, transport information and updated details across its website, social media channels and through community networks.
